Our interim boards of directors served through December 31, 2010 and we are currently in the selection process for our permanent 2011-2012 boards of directors.

Patsy Trujillo, Founding Board Member
Patsy Trujillo is a former State Representative from Santa Fe, New Mexico and brings with her a wealth of experiance in voter education and mobilization. The veteran of two presidential campaigns, Patsy coordinated outreach in the Latino-American community for both Bill Richardson and Barack Obama. Patsy is a mother, an aunt, a sister and a daughter and a proud community organizer around Latino and Womens issues. Patsy was a founding member of the People of Color AIDS Foundation in New Mexico and a strong advocate for LGBT equality. Patsy now lives in Washington, DC and is a member of the Cathedral of St. Matthew the Apostle.

Dr. Joseph Palacios, Foundation Director and Founding Board Member
Joseph Palacios (Ph.D. Sociology, UC Berkeley; M.A. and M.Div., St John's Seminary, Camarillo, CA) is a sociologist and Adjunct Professor at Georgetown University. He is the author of The Catholic Social Imagination: Activism and the Just Society in Mexico and the United States (University of Chicago Press, 2007) and numerous articles on faith-based organizing, religion and political culture, and community-based learning and research. In 2009 he was a Fulbright Fellow at the Universidad de Santiago (Chile) where he taught and conducted research for a project entitled Chilifornia: Chile, Vanguard Latin Nation. He is a member of the Board of Governors of the Human Rights Campaign and founder of Catholics United for Marriage Equality in Washington, DC.

Phil Attey, Executive Director and Founding Board Member
Phil Attey is an online political strategist and one of the early pioneers in online organizing and lobbying. In 1996 Phil launched the Human Rights Campaign's online action center and in 1998 led the global online response to the murder of Matthew Shepard. Phil has worked on four presidential campaigns and served on the national steering committee for the 1993 March on Washington. A lifelong Catholic, he now attends mass at the Cathedral of St. Matthew the Apostle, Immaculate Conception Church, and Dignity Washington.

Aniello Alioto, Founding Board Member
Aniello Alioto is a lifelong Catholic, advocate for social justice, and firm believer in all definitions of the word "Catholic." Aniello commands extensive experience in both issue and candidate campaigns; specializing in online advocacy, information management and campaign messaging. He holds a M.A. in Diplomacy from the Patterson School of Diplomacy and International Commerce, located at the University of Kentucky, as well as a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Louisville. Aniello is currently the National Political Director of ProgressNow.
