Catholics for Equality Foundation
Through research, education, and outreach, the Catholics for Equality Foundation encourages Catholic Americans to put our faith into ethical and effective action on behalf of the Lesbian Gay Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) community and their families.
The Catholics for Equality Foundation is a nonprofit, tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization. Programs funded in part or in full through the Catholics for Equality Foundation include:
A Catholic Conversation
The Catholics for Equality Foundation, through our Catholic Conversation project, provides resources and support to Catholic families who want to talk about LGBT freedom and equality over the Holidays and throughout the year.
Campus Outreach Project
Our Catholics for Equality Campus Outreach project provides resources and support for pro-equality students at Catholic colleges and universities to create the important dialogue about LGBT freedom and equality on their campus, with their families and friends, and in their campus and home communities.
National Lecture Series
In coordination with our Campus Outreach project, the Catholics for Equality Lecture Series will provide resources to inform students, academics and leaders in the community how LGBT Equality is an American Catholic value. Lectures will be held at Catholic colleges and universities and at Newman Centers across the country, bringing national and local pro-equality Catholic leaders to speak on this important social justice issue.
Catholic Influentials Project
Through our Catholic Influentials project we will reach out to prominent pro-equality Catholics in the entertainment, civic, business and sports worlds, to provide them a national platform as prominent American Catholics to voice their support for LGBT equality.
